AMD je predstavio novu obitelj proizvoda serverskih procesora: AMDriOpteron™ X-Serija optimiziranu za  scale-out serversku arhitekturu. Prva serija AMD Opteron X-Series procesora, poznata i kao  “Kyoto,” je dizajniran uz jezgre visoke gustoće uz najefikasniju potrošnje energije na bazi x86 procesora ikad proizveden1. Novi X1150 i X2150 procesor nadmašuje sve performanse Intel Atom procesora  u ključnim benchmark2  performansama, uključujući i "single thread" te propusne performanse uz superiornu energetsku efikasnost, dvostruke više jezgri i  L2 cache memorije uz napredniju pipeline arhitekturu, boljuu integraciju i podršku za do 32 gigabytes DRAM-a, 4 puta više nego kod Intel Atom procesora.
